Adventure With Vikings!

Our first official adventure is a gathering with the Vikings!

Date / Time: Sept 7, 2024; 2PM – 9PM
Location: 333 Windmill Rd, Anagance, NB

The Event

Using the latest gate design offered by our partners at Outland Gate Innovations, we will synchronize you to 1021 AD, where you will get to frolic with the Vikings!

First We Play

Once through the gate, you’ll have the chance to play a slew of familiar games, such as stone and axe throwing, as well as many new ones, such as kubb, mölkky (a variant of a traditional game called kyykkä), or tafl.

If games aren’t your thing, maybe you want to quest. For a small fee, you can purchase one of our quests on site, hunt for the pieces you need to craft with, and work with a Viking to make yourself a pair of leather bracers to wear or take home!

Finally, we will have a few demonstrations including archery and Viking combat, where you’ll get a chance to learn about how our Viking friends applied their skills in history.

Then We Eat

Our executive chef Drew, has worked to craft a choice menu of foods that may be common for us, but are definitely new for our Viking hosts! We’ll take a break from the running around to fill up, and then…

At Last, Stories Around The Fire

After enjoying the food, we will share some of our culture with the Vikings. Gather around the fire, while our hosts regale us with tales, and maybe try your hand at telling them a story if you dare!

You’re An Ambassador

As a participant in this event, you get to become a cultural ambassador! Our contact team has prepared our hosts, by giving them a cover narrative that our technology is bordering on magic. While we cannot allow them to have our magic, we will share some of our culture with them, as part of a mission of friendly diplomacy.

In joining our adventure, you represent a modern day that their civilization will eventually see. Along with learning something of our own history, you will have a chance to help them improve their language skills, and give them hope for their own future!
